Ranging from fine, highly intricate work with precious gems to found objects, natural objects, resin, fibers, photography and other so-called "non-precious" materials, I love to mix medias and combine contrasting material such as latex with pearls or diamonds with concrete. Although I appreciate traditional precious materials, discarded materials are "precious", also-- precious to the creator and wearer, not to a societal norm. I am a collector of found objects whether synthetic or natural; a discarded old button or a cicada's wing. There is a glory in the common place often overlooked.
